Barry Johns sticky Honey & Sesame “Spice Bag” Sausages

We are delighted to have received this fantastic recipe from Celebrity Chef Shane Smith. Chef Shane has added a “sticky” twist to our Spice Bag Sausages.

Serves 4


1 lb Barry Johns Spice Bag sausages

1 tbsp sesame oil

2 tbsp soya sauce

2 tbsp honey

1 tsp dijon mustard

2 tbsp water

2 tbsp sesame seeds


Preheat your oven to 200C/180C fan/ 400F/Gas 6.

In a mixing bowl, add the sesame, soya, honey, dijon mustard and water and mix to form a paste.

Place the sausages in a roasting tray and pour over the marinade.

Pop into the oven for 18-20 minutes- shaking half way through.

Carefully take the sausages out and sprinkle with the sesame seeds and pop back into the oven for another 10-12 minutes.

As the marinade has caramelised with the sausages, please take care as they will be very hot!
