SMOKY BBQ KEBABS
Wow your guests with these tasty Smoky BBQ flavoured Barry John Sausage kebabs.
Preparation time: 30 minutes / Cooking time: 10-20 minutes / Difficulty: easy / Serves: 4
500g Smoky BBQ Barry John Sausage packet (makes 8 kebabs if you use a full sausage for each kebab or 16 kebabs if you only use ½ sausage per kebab)
8/16 wooden skewers
2 plump yellow peppers, deseeded and cut into square chunks
Punnet of cherry tomatoes
2 red onions, peeled and cut into square chunks (optional)
CHIVE & SOUR CREAM DIP
1 tub of sour cream
few sprigs of chives, finely diced
Juice of ½ lemon
Salt & pepper (optional)
For the Kebabs:
Start assembling the kebabs together, alternating, BBQ sausage, yellow pepper, cherry tomato, red onion as you fill up the wooden skewer.
Make sure you leave space at bottom to hold the wooden skewer when cooked.
Cook for 10-20 minutes on BBQ or under a preheated grill. Turn regularly so that each side gets adequately cooked.
For the Chive & Sour Dip:
Blend together the sour cream, lemon juice and finely diced chives. Add salt & pepper to desired taste (optional).
Serve with Chive and Sour cream dip in a small side dish with a crispy seasonal salad, homemade coleslaw and garlic baguette
